Who We Are

Whether you are looking for a home church or visiting the Charleston area and want a place to worship on Sunday, we want you to know that you are always welcome at Randolph Street Baptist Church.

Here are a few things you should know about us:

We are reformed

We stand in the tradition of the Reformation faith and practice. We affirm the five solas and the doctrines of grace. We understand God to be sovereign over all things and accomplishing His eternal purpose for His own glory.

We stand in the theological tradition of the Reformed church, embrace protestant confessional heritage and affirm the five solas:

Sola Scriptura (Scripture Alone): The Bible is our only and highest authority.
Sola Fide (Faith Alone): We are saved only through faith in Jesus Christ.
Sola Gratia (Grace Alone): We are saved only by the grace of God alone.
Solus Christus (Christ Alone): Jesus Christ is the only Lord, Savior and King.
Soli Deo Gloria (To The Glory Of God Alone): We live only for the glory of God.

We are confessional

We believe it is important to clearly articulate what the Bible teaches. For almost 2,000 years, the church has produced creeds and confessions declaring and summarizing essential Biblical truths. We stand with our brothers and sisters who have gone before us and confess these same truths.

We are baptist

We believe the church consists of those who know the Lord and that faith is best expressed through baptism by immersion in water. While we love our brothers and sisters who disagree with us on these issues, we stand in the rich history of our baptist heritage.
